Description
2004 Collector's Edition Donald Brashear Bobble Fist. This is not your traditional bobblehead figurine in the sense that it is head it fixed to the figurines body and its fists are the ones that bobble. These spring loaded fists represent Donald Brashear, one of the most revered talent in the NHL for his fighting skills. Brashear was never drafted but did play 3 seasons in the QMJHL before joining the Canadiens' AHL affiliate in Fredericton in 1992-93. In the 93-94 season he scored 66 points in 62 AHL games to finish second on the team earning him a call up. He would spend parts of four season playing for the Habs, followed by stops in Vancouver, Washington, Philadelphia, and New York. After his NHL career, Brashear he returned to Quebec to play in the LNAH before surprisingly heading to Sweden to play for the historic club MODO in 2014-15 at the age of 43. This bobblefist commemorates Brashear's time with the Flyers, where he spent four seasons. Brash isn't the only player to receive a "bobblefist" statue. Others have included Jay Wells, Mike Liambas, Dennie Bonvie, and Derek Boogaard. Many of which feature the heads that bobble too.
